Customize Item callbacks and support existing background in

RecycleItemAdapter

- Added support for custom backgrounds in RecyclerItemAdapter.
- Added callbacks in Item to allow overriding state/level
  that gets copied from icon to drawable

Test: Tests added, verified that changes work
