Merge changes from topic 'update_to_4053586' 

* changes:
  LTO: Mark undefined module asm symbols as used.
  [ArgPromotion] Fix a truncated variable
  Disable GVN Hoist due to still more bugs being found in it. There is also a discussion about exactly what we should do prior to re-enabling it.
